Lori is the Office and Financial Manager for Whidbey Sun & Wind, one of Washington's oldest renewable energy companies. She brings a background in accounting, business, and communication to her position as SIW President. Lori is excited to be working with a team of passionate, creative, and delightful people who are also deeply committed to moving renewable energy ever further into the mainstream and promoting a robust solar industry in the state.

Dana Brandt, Vice President
Owner, Ecotech Solar
Dana Brandt is owner and founder of Ecotech Solar in Bellingham. He holds a master of science in renewable energy and BS in electrical engineering. He's been involved in renewable energy projects in eleven countries on five continents and founded Ecotech as Whatcom County's first solar contractor in 2004.

Dave Kozin, Secretary
CFO, A&R Solar
Dave holds an MBA in Sustainable Business from the Bainbridge Graduate Institute and is co-owner of Seattle based installer, A&R Solar. Dave possesses a wealth of information about solar, having experience both on and off the roof, and holding NABCEP Certifications in PV Installation and PV Technical Sales. He was an active board member of Solar Washington since 2009 and served as its President and previously as its Treasurer and Solar Tour Coordinator. Dave's vision is to engage solar stakeholders throughout Washington State to encourage cooperation within the industry and create a strong, vibrant solar industry in Washington.

Alana is co-founder and owner of Fire Mountain Solar LLC which was started in 2001, long before solar went mainstream in the Pacific Northwest. Alana is also co-founder of the Greater Skagit Solar Tour, and has coordinated the tour for Skagit County and other areas around Washington annually since 2001. Alana brings an extensive business background, and a sincere passion for cooperative teamwork and social responsibility to her role as Treasurer for SIW. She has also presented numerous classes and workshops on solar over the years, believing that education is the key to creating a future where solar and wind power are no longer considered "alternative" energy.

Jeremy Smithson, Legislative & Public Policy Director

Jeremy started Puget Sound Solar in 2001 with the first net-metered residential PV project in Seattle, 30 years of contracting experience, and a desire to turn Seattle on to solar energy. Since then the company has expanded to 31 employees, hundreds of solar energy projects, and continues to be a leader and a job creator in the clean energy and electric vehicle sectors. Jeremy is a NABCEP certified PV Installation Professional and Solar Heating Installer, and a Washington General Electrical Administrator, and has been active in the solar policy arena for 12 years.
